Adding New Machinery to the Arsenal

JackCarlson News, MachineryApril 18, 2018

In order for Carlson to stay competitive in this strong market, we continually look for ways to improve and stay up to date with technology. Carlson frequently invests in new equipment to add capacity and/or improve efficiency for the challenges of today and tomorrow.

These updates allow us to better serve our current and future customers as their needs grow and expand with time. Our strong partnerships over the years have allowed us to be successful in a diverse range of markets including Oil & Gas, Military, Heavy Equipment, Automotive, Aerospace, Metals, Forgings and many more.

Some of our recent machine investments include a Mazak Integrex and a Mazak Cyberturn 5500. Both of these machines added capacity in our lathe department, allowing us to keep up with demand for larger production orders. These additions are part of Carlson’s continuous improvement vision to allow us to pursue larger or more complex projects with our customers.

CYBERTECH TURN 5500:

Designed for processing large-diameter, long shaft workpieces, the CYBERTECH TURN 5500 is a powerful, heavy-duty CNC Turning Center. It features a 10-position turret that allows it to perform facing, turning, grooving, threading and deep boring up to 40” in a single setup. Part setups and programming on this machine are fast and easy.

  • 10-position drum turret with bolt-on tool holders
  • 14.8″ spindle bore is standard equipment
  • Built-in premium threading function
  • Optional deep-hole boring with automatic changer
  • Fully programmable servo driven tailstock
  • MAZATROL conversational CNC and/or G code format

INTEGREX:

The INTEGREX machines brings together extreme versatility, speed, accuracy and ease of operation for manufacturers of complex components. In addition, ergonomic machine design including large viewing windows, adjustable operator panel, front panel magazine access, and easy access to spindle center – provide operators with increased monitoring, efficient setup, and convenient loading and unloading of work pieces.
